REGENCY & ANTIQUE BRIDAL JEWELLERY
Do you have romantic notions about having a Regency or Bridgeton style wedding? Are you a secret lover of Jane Austen books and have you found your Mr. Darcy?
This is a very popular period for inspiration when it comes to weddings as it is so evocative and has a sense of tradition and true love.
When it comes to the wedding dress itself, it surely has to be empire line, which has a low scoop neckline that is piched in under the bust and the skirt bottom flows out from there creating an ethereal and almost goddess like style.
Bridal jewellery to accompany this look needs to be delicate and dainty. You want to look for a mix of small clear crystals and pearls. The Bridal earrings shoud be a drop earring but not too long a popular design style would mimic a fine 18th century chandelier with it's delicatley balanced elements that reflect the light enough.
Even though the style of our bridal bracleet is Victorian, it's design roots are firmly from the Regency era with it's delicate touch and combination of pearls and crystals.

1920s BRIDAL JEWELLERY
Perhaps you see yourself going more 'down' the aisle in a more Downton Abbey wedding style route (excuse the punn). This era was a marked change from what went before with the advent of more power to women and a more refined dress style. However the 1920s bride still wanted to feel extra special on her big day, so though the dress might be a lot simpler (the veil not so in terms of length and volume) the bridal jewelery and accessories would have relfected the more glitz and glamour of the time.
So there would be nods towards Grecian and and eygptain styles with fan shapes and more intricate and embellished pieces.
RAZZLE DAZZLING BRIDE
To give the full on tassel and flapper girl influence these striking drop pearl tassel earrings are a must with thier ivory (off white) colour they are perfect for the 1920s style bride to be. They also match the headpiece above if you wanted to have a full-on look.
With such statement wedding earrings there is no need to add a necklace. The tassels help elongate the neck and draw interest up to the face and eyes.
The final finishing touch is to add our exquisite feather clutch bag with optional chain.

1950s BRIDAL JEWELLERY
In the 1950s things became a little less formal and more fun, so in came the fuller skirts and off the shoulder necklines as depicted in this photo of Elizabeth Taylor. Satin was the fabric of the day as it added that volume and stiffness that was being seen in everyday 1950s dresses.
In terms of 1950s bridal jewellery in came the pearls in a big and bolder way. It was a more confident style and one where more was more...
So more statement pearl bridal earrings, layered pearl bridal necklaces adorned with crystals and glass pearls.
Then it makes sense that if you are going all out then you should have the complete bridal jewellery set.
This three row pearl strand set with crystal motif and matching bridal earrings is perfect for creating that 1950s look. Plus you can keep your treasures and memories of that special day in one of our beautiful fully lined gift set boxes.
Memories to last a lifetime together.....
