Wish we were there...

Wish we were there...
So much has been cancelled this year but that does not mean that we can't relive in our minds and our homes the good times of previous events and occasions.
This year we were all looking forward to Goodwood Revival as it's such a huge event for the vintage calendar, with it's fast cars and (not so fast) fashions and styles; it's so inspiring walking around and seeing what everyone is wearing and the amazing effort that men and women make from top to toe, from earring to shoe lace.

We want to re-create and update some of our favourite looks that really embody the spirit of Goodwood Revival and the fabulous era's of the 1940's and 1950's. So here are a few looks we think you'll love and maybe you should have your own mini revival at home with a few friends (no more than 6) and a glass of bubbly.
It's all about the early empowerment of women during the 40's when many women were called upon to do the jobs of men while they were away fighting in the troops. This gave women an opportunity to show what they were made of and that they were easily equal to the men and this transferred through to the fashion with fitted jackets, boiler suits and wide leg trousers. In terms of jewellery and accessories these were a little more modest in design, befitting the times and colour was a luxury that was slowly being introduced to add some fun into an otherwise and often dull period.
Dragonfly BroochBrooches were an easy way to add detail to an outfit without being seen to be to opulent. They sit really well on a fitted cardigan or on the label of a fitted jacket. Also they often had meanings. Our beautiful Enamel Dragonfly brooch is perfect for showing your free spirit.
Our Oval Stone Drop Earrings add a perfect touch of colour to the simplistic of outfits and if you are daring you could also add a red lip.
Milk Stone Earrings
For something a little more flamboyant that harks back to 1920s/1930s try our beautiful Milk Stone Earrings set in crystals. These would be great with a simple silk block colour dress that skims the body.
3 Row Pearl Necklace
Then of course you can always go for a classic set of pearls like our 3 Row Pearl Necklace that has the grandeur of the past. Pair up with a smart masculine style jacket and wide 'Oxford Bag' trousers for that early androgynous look.
Then we move speedily onto the 1950s that heralded all that was new and young. No more dressing as your mother or grandmother did but sporting a new look that was fun and frivolous and said we are free!
Grace Flower Crystal BraceletWe love the freshness that the likes of Grace Kelly bought to scene and of course Grace Kelly went on to become a true life Princess in Monaco, with one of the worlds most famous racing circuits. Our Grace Bracelet in Pacific Opal is simply stunning and has va va vroom!
Pink Rose Stud Earrings
If you are looking for something perfectly pink and youthful then look no further than our pretty pink Rose Enamel Stud Earrings. Perfect with a puff ball dress or skirt and matching cardigan.
Pink Heart 1950s BroochGo even further with the pink theme and opt for our sweetheart Heart 50s Brooch all the bling you could need.
